Lose Something?
A Common Factor
There is a common tragic factor among those who use drugs, especially meth.
It may start with a simple prompt from a friend or someone at a party.
"Want to try it?" In a very short time, sometimes only weeks after the
first try, the user starts to lose their money, their relationship with their
family, their job, and their freedom. They lose everything.
Statistically, a meth user may have as little as five years of life remaining
after their first usage of the drug. The common factor is a loss of
everything that is dear.

There is hope
The best prevention is to never start. The best way to never start
is to make sure you are choosing your friends well. We have spoken with
scores of jail inmates, and so often they tell us "I was just hangin' around
with the wrong crowd." Choose friends that really care about what is
best for you. A real friend won't offer you drugs - or anything else that
puts you at risk. If you have started on drugs, stop now and get
help. There are many good resources to help with recovery.

Share the knowledge
As you learn about drug prevention and recovery, please share it with
others. There are those whom only you can reach. Make a difference.
